Hi, I recently acquired a lewis twin cockpit circa 1960's and the lewis badge is on the transom (in the centre) is this the normal position??

Ive seen them on the dash the cockpit cover and on the transom. I guess they put them wherever they liked.

Depending on what boat it was, where the builders plate was attached. On twin cockpit boats it went in the rear cockpit ,on skiffs it went on the dash, on walkabout style it went on the dash or the engine box. this is on boats built at Taren Pt up to 1968. On some boats a chrome Lewis casting was put on the stern the same as on Rebound. Lewisinfo.
