Rolling a boat

Rolling boat over, to work on it is usualy a 4 or 5 hands on helpers and blanket or matress to stop the hull getting damaged.
To day I rolled Invader over by my self, I mounted a t/pine log with 1" shaft in drilled into each end and mouted it in the trusses of the shed,
I bought to 6mt slings, jacked up the boat fitted the slings and pulled the trailer out from under it.
It rolled by hand and seemed to be heaver on on side needing a tie to keep it level to get the trailer under it again.
So now I can work on the deck along side of the little skiff at the same time.
T/pine log $19
Slings $48 each
Steel shaft I had .

Cheaper than the beer for four helpers! Any chance of posting a picture of the rig Ross?

Hey Ross, did the same thing with wooden worry, only it sat in truckie tie down straps suspended from the roof trusses for a couple of months. Only thing i did different was to have a comealong one each strap so i could lift the boat without effort

I rolled aggressor with a sling and my old inter crane. It was scary waiting for the hull to roll. There was no way you could do it with people.
All my other boats I just do by hand with mattresses.
