Hi Ross,
I would love ot come over and see what you are doing one day if that would be possible. I am a long way off doing the deck of Grumpy but I need to learn a lot between now and then. If you want someone to hold things and bring you cold beers just give me a call on 54232335.
Cheers
Nick

Rossco there was a story with that skiff of yours. I'm searching the inside of my busy and failing memory to try to remember. Rob from Sydney went to see the boat and the builder before he passed on. way before it appeared on Evil bay. Maybe 8 years ago?? It will come to me. I'll ring when it does. Have the partying presidents ruined the real estate values yet?

Nick I will not start work on the deck over the next couple of months, I have to complete a roof over a deck I built- recote all the veanders with decking oil at the back of the house and re do the vegie patch while the weather is good , before I can get back in to the boat but I will ring you when I start.

Darren , the place is booming now !!

Are you bringing the F-truck over again Stu? Be a shame to waste that big tray when you could back load some timber....

Have just removed the bearers, so I think Im where the builder left off, have cleaned the inside and put a clear coat on it, and it looks good.
When I get around to it i will re-do the deck frames and turn it over to adress the split plank next to the keel between the shaft hole and transom,
This I think I will run a saw cut in the plank and then tap a strip of timber (fether) in with some glue, There is all so a split through the roves on a side plank on the inside that I will fill with epoxy and saw dust mix and that sould hold that ok. I have new timber for bearers-6"x2" and that will hapen as I get time.
