Rebound had not been in the water for almost 2 years Ross, before I took it up to Eppalock. It took me a week to wet it out. After the first couple of days it was still running out very freely through the keel, for'ard of the fin. By day 7 it was all sealed up and didn't leak at all yesterday. The way that the hull took up & sealed was quite amazing. You never think that the timber will swell and be tight again, but it just takes water and time. Looking forward to seeing you on the water and making some noise!

To day I found if I cut a little bit more out of the tie bearer's base where it crosses the keel and is bolted [under the seat] it will pull up the keel to where I want it.
So I cut out a bit more then I needed and now I have adjusted the shape of the keel to where I think it is needed but I can go more if needed.
I will put in a timber wedge in and tighten the bolt to hold it.
Next thing to do is find a way to hold the bilge pump top from coming off with the bounce of the boat as it is mounted in front of the motor.
I also found some wedges had moved from under the ribs next to the keel . I have now glued them in place.
I must of given it a bit more of a hiding than I thought on the last outing !!!!!!

Yesterday I tested the boat and it was a little better leaping less out of the water at flat out , but they were longer leaps , Still more testing to go yet but still very controllable .

Prop I'm running is similar to another one I have witch is a 16 pitch , engine is going out to around 4500 RPM so I'm guessing its doing some where about 50 mph on the stocker .
Will have to g.p.s it one day.
Have now pulled the hull up more and will try to put it a spacer between the cave plate and the braces,
I will be wiping some silicone on some threads to stop them coming loose too !!!!

Have given the boat a run today for 10min or so and although better I will try and fix some thing under the cav plate .
As the cav plate can not be flexed down due to the 4x3 keel going all the way to the end of the cav plate.
My test to morrow .
