I have come across this Smiths 75mph marine speedo, its new in the box.
My searching on the internet hasn't turned up anything about them.
Are they uncommon or still avaliable?
is there a 50mph unit out there?
Cheers
Jeff

Re: Smiths Speedo
Never seen one!!!!!
I wouldn't have thought a Smiths marine speedo to be rare?
Smiths sold lots of auto gauges.
Below is an ad from an old 1965 Australian Hot Rod magazine.
It shows the 'Seaswift' 35mph Boat Speedometer,
Im guessing the one I have, would be a 70's model?
These gauges are still avaliable new (Except the boat speedo)
as the 'Smiths Classic Gauge' and are a perfect match
Cheers

Re: Smiths Speedo
Yes the 35mph was called the "seaswift"
the 55mph was called the "dreamswift"
the 75mph was called the "bullswift"
Nice find though!

Re: Smiths Marine Speedo
I have an L Harvey and Sons of Melbourne marine speedo which goes to 44mph / 38 knots and needs a minor repair to the pressure bladder - I am open to offers and it is the speedo only without bracket or tubes
Re: Smiths Marine Speedo
Hi Jeff,
I have a matching Smiths Tacho, which suits a 2 stroke [ outboard ] .
Doc.

Re: Smiths Marine Speedo
Thanks for the offers fella's, but i now own that Smiths speedo and I am
going to buy the matching Smiths tacho, oil pressure & water temp gauges to compliment it.
When I went looking for gauges for my skiff, I wasn't happy with what I came across.
I couldn't believe my luck when I found this NOS Smiths Marine Speedo,
I just wondering If I had stumbled upon a treasure, or they are still readily avaliable.
Cheers
