I'm with you Dave running Agressor at 50mph is a joke.
I am glad I didn't bust my guts and Alans to get Scrubcat running suitably quick enough to enter the event. Hopefully when they see what entertainment value people got in the Goolwa event, next year they may be more accommodating.
They probably won't get the crowd even still, that was at Goolwa.
:)

I'll be running Mystress (assuming I pass scrutineering).

Neil you will be right. If its a ski boat they wont be so focused on what is required for pure racers. Make sure you have a helmet and life jacket.
The scrutineer for the vintage boats is steve maybury.
He is going to be there all day.
I think you might find the ski boats can, carry a passenger.
Dont worry about me. If I do make the start ill still have fun. ;)

I got Aggressor running tonight. It was pretty awsome starting it in the shed. The whole place shook.
The down side is I cant get it to run for more than a few seconds. For some reason the fuel isnt feeding into the system. I have fuel pressure. I think its a problem with the carb.
I wont be running in the bridge. Ill take Cassatta down and run that in the parade. :)

So we had 8 boats in all and had a great run. Thrify two led the pack and finished well.
I had a few gremilins early in the piece. I put new plugs in last night but after five hundred metres the boat ran rough and wouldnt rev past idle. The weird thing was I turned it off and it kept running.
Luckily I kept the old plugs and literally changed them within five minutes.
I had a pleasant run on my own up the river to the finish after that.
Apart from the late start it eas a great day.

Absolutely,
For those of us who didn't konk out 500 metres from the start  ... We had great run! Even though we had a speed limit of sorts ( nobody was checking ) it actually worked really well . Half a dozen boats travelling abreast down 25 k's of beautiful river. And we all finished together in front of the crowd at the finish line.
I have heaps of good footage from my helmet cam. I just need a few days to edit the best bits and I'll post it up on you tube. I must admit I was a bit sceptical with the lead up to today but it was a great day.

Cheers!

Neil
