I'm thinking I might remove the velvet drive from Mystress and run direct to the V-drive if I do this run. That should make it good for a bit more speed and reliability. The gearbox seems to warm up more than the engine when running hard.
Are there any other changes I will need to make to be allowed to run? I already have a fire extinguisher mounted up front.

the boat will need steering stops , shaft collar, a throttle that returns to idle via a spring, everything double nutted, nautical switch. I'm not sure if you will need a helmet bridle.

with the morse steering , it should be possible to put stops either side of the tiller arm
