I know Nick took a heap of pics but he might still be away.
Re the bad luck. Just something you get used to when you start racing these things. You will find out.

Re: FORSTER SPEED BOAT SPECTACULAR 2009
We had a great time at Forster on the weekend, The Jet went well, the best so far! All the old boats looked good and went well, plenty of interest from people as usual. A shame about Dave's mishap at the end, hope you get it fixed without too much trouble. Have attached a couple of photos.

Re: FORSTER SPEED BOAT SPECTACULAR 2009
Brian Atomic was flying all weekend. During the week I pulled the engine out and found a worn big end bearing. When I pulled the cam out to clean the block one of the cam bearings just fell out (not supposed to).
I cleaned the block and all the oil lines, slipped in new big ends and mains (even though the crank is out of round) and glued the cam bearing back in with loctite.
I cant believe this engine is holding together.
I had no idea the hull got damaged until I finished and saw the back of the sponson hanging off.
My next meeting is Aug 23 so it has to be rebuilt by then. If I miss that the Top End Sprint is the week after.

The rear mount in the background is a Lewis hull Impala formerly called Payden. It was running a smallblock with quad webbers but now runs a hot Ford Cleveland. It broke down on the weekend.
Re: FORSTER SPEED BOAT SPECTACULAR 2009
Finally finished converting all my pics
Shooting raw is better but when you have 200 pics to convert to JPG it takes a while
Here is a few of them
will try and upload the rest to Flickr and will send a CD to greg
Working on video next .That will take a bit of time as the anti camera shake software takes about an hour for less than 10 minutes and I have to try and do
something about the wind noise as its terrible.
Will post video to you tube and post a link on the board when done
