Just got home from the show. Im pretty happy with it all. Going by the crowds around the boats Im pretty confident they liked it also. The organisers I think were blown away by the interest. Even the radio reports said the display wasnt to be missed. Dave

I went on the Sunday and the radio stand in front was gone which gave a much better lead in to the CAWPBA stand. I had a look around whilst thinking.... a nice tupperware boat.........mmmmm another tupperware boat......only.....bigger....then another......all of a sudden I come across the CAWPBA stand and what a relief......, arrhhh finally some real boats. I then bought a coffee nearby, and continued to survey the crowd wondering around the Cawpba stand.....the smiles and looks of nostalgia that apperared on the faces of the people when they discovered the CAWPBA was amazing, its quite hard to explain.
I wondered away a few times and then came back and then finally caught up to say hello to Dave......in amongst half a dozen other people wanting to have a chat with him also.
On a personal note..its a credit to Dave and who helped him (my apologies, I dont know your names) setting up the stand as it looked and felt great, and it certainly showed that Dave is all heart when it comes to this sort of thing and it shows, cause he has the biggest smile on his face the whole time. He is such a great ambassador for the Sydney chapter of the club.
Well done to all involved.
I have photos but Bob pretty well has them covered, although the ones I have had heaps of people in them......couldn't get a decent photo off the boats, damn.

Thanks for that and your right its not just me but the others who took the time to bring there boats out.
Paul Invader was bought by a friend of mine around 20 years ago. Up until a couple of year ago he wouldnt show anyone anything in his vast collection.
The boat was a local boat and ran in the first bridge to bridge. Although the motor in it originally was and old Oakland 6 it now has been fitted with a Ford A model 4 with a Hal twin cam conversion. This motor ran in an Indianapolis car from the 20's.
