Just a bit of an update for the wet together: tomorrow arvo Phil (habits) and I are taking Bullitt out to check out some locations so we can identify the best spot to hang out for the weekend. It looks like Hogan's Road (for those familiar with Lake Mulwala) will be a good choice, but we have a few other spots to look at as well. I all depends on which way the wind is blowing, but we will have a couple of alternatives to accomodate that factor. The Cod Classic is on this weekend too so Phil and I might do a bit of trawling behind the old girl while we're out and about. To copy the words of our club statesman Dig to Narelle at Norandura, "We might put it in and get it wet...and take the boat out too" :P

All going well we would like to go on a cruise up through the lake from Yarra to Bundalong and back. It's a nice trip in a boat. Chivs has suggested we all take a chainsaw, and drop a few trees for firewood on the way back.

Had a look around the lake on Friday with Bad Habits, and we have settled on Hogans Road as a suitable area to hang out. There's a good grassy area, and safe spot to pull the boats in to the bank:

Ahhh, memories of many long hot summers spent on the water at nears Hogans Road and Stevensons Court.

Jon
Working the weekend at this time, so pretty doubtful. Bad time of the year to get some time.

Well we only have a week and a half to go, so I thought I better post some info about Wet Together. :D

As I have said before, everyone is welcome at our place, we'll fit you in somehow, and we're on an acre so there's plenty of room for cars/boats and the stripper's pole. Andy has shotgunned the camper trailer, but we have a few spare bedrooms, as well as plenty of garage space so just bring a swag or sleeping bag.

The Criterion Hotel has now re-opened after renno's and it has a massive deck overlooking the lake, so friday bevvies will probably start there. There is a ski show and fireworks on at the Ski Club Saturday night, so if ... IF ... boat driver's can stay off the piss we can head over there in the boats and watch all the action from 200 meters off shore. I did it last year a few times and it was well worth the boat ride.

I have been made aware of a few woodies hiding away in garages in Yarrawonga and Bundalong, so I will be hoping to catch up with their owners and invite them to get their boats out and about.

Great to hear Darren is still coming all the way from Colac, Andy from Balranald and Bauchy from Bendigo (oh, and Ric from Darwin 8-) Hope Alan etc from over Echuca way can get over too.

My address is 8 Rosemary Court, Yarrawonga. It may not come up on your Navman, so if you can get to Hogan's Road, Rosemary Court runs off that. Any dramas ring me on 0418 584448

Anyway, cheers everyone, see you there!!, Jon.
