WOW....just made it home after a detour or two , and checked the club site.

Great photos , great vids , great weekend, thanks to everyone. Its great to be part of such an open group of people prepared to share resto tips , knowledge and their boats.

Thanks particularly to Alan , Conner, and Andy for helping put Jupiter together on Friday and thanks for all those who helped lift and carry the boat. Sorry Connor for not getting a run, i will bring it again next year and you will be first up !

Check your prop is secured, check, check, check........pants !

G'Day all. What a great line up of boat's and drivers. Disappointment does not even come close to how we feel after all the help and encouragement from club members in getting our boat up and running trailer finished and registered only to have our falcon's transmission to give up at the last moment after the quote to repair there was no money to do both Narrandera and a trans. rebuild and blowing the budget on the boat the cupboard was bare, so I will have to be content to look at the fantastic video's and photo's and imagine being there and throw water in my face,so until next meet some where. take care Brian.

Being the previous proud owner of four fords i think i can safely say that they are the bigest heaps of junk ever made. I have been permanently scared by my last one. Get the falcon back from the tranny joint and get rid of it for whatever you can.
The replacent for it is a 1973 international panel truck. We did almost 2000km last weekend.
I didnt miss a beat or use any oil or water.
Creature comforts were light on and the fuel economy would have substatially added to global warming but a small price to pay for dependability.

Great photos Chivs!!

So, we now officially have two re-named members - Blinky Bill and Gregapedia. Those names will stick too by the look of it!!

I don't want to force you into making yet another post Doug, but upon reviewing the Scrubcat youtube footage, you seem to be on record as having premeditated plans for the black mullet later that evening, I quote your exact words, "As long as he doesn't lose the hair, cause I'm having that later on!" I vaguely remember some camera flashes going off that evening, hopefully whoever was in charge of that camera can produce the goods, which should show a 1970's model of Doug as he would have looked back in his hair-day, I mean hay-day

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, sorry to hear you couldn't make it Brian, but for chrissakes why did you have to re-open old wounds with the Ford thing. Now look what you've gone and done, Blinky Bill's upset!!! :P   :o

Dear Mr Chivas,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for posting your great photos of Narrandera.Unfortunately for me, I left my camera home but your photos more than make up for that little issue. An I pad does take some reasonable photographs in the dark at barbecues but as we found on Saturday night the website does not allow direct posting of said photographs.Hoping Doug can help by posting his collection.

Regards Andy

Chris, I think you should check the facts. I joined the BB nov 2010, number of posts 4, I recon that makes me a regular.
Great pics Chris, I look forward to next year having EG and Torea side by side, perhaps even three. I think you tassie folk deserve the cawpba gold medal for effort in attending Narrandera.
Congrats on the vid Hookster, well done hanging in Scubcat one handed. As for your comments, you're right up till the " I'm having it on later" bit. I felt very priviliged to have you share the black mullet with me later that night, it reminded me of the old days till i told it off................ and got depressed again! You didn't warn me about the liquid nails, it pulled out a few more as it came off.
I thought you were staying longer, hence i dipped out on a ride in the Bullit, great looking and sounding boat, next year hopefully.
Andy and Hooks, yep, I do have a few pics of some grown men looking pretty silly. I'm sure l have a pic or two of Hooks and other member looking like they have lost their camels. I don't know how to post them and not sure if the BB is the place for them.
I had forwarded some pics to our fearless leader, mainly of boats, however one came back with a reference made to Tiny Tim. I figure we now have Blinky Bill and Tiny Tim as members. I suggest you pressure the chief if you want that pic.
Buggar Chris this now makes 5 posts, I'd better slow up.
Doug.
P.S. Don't you guys have a day job!!!

Well done doug! You know what they say about frequency! Seeing you are into facts, the last post statistically would amount to 10 posts based on content. I note you refrain from the smiley use, congratulations on that point!
Re funny stuff that possibly shouldn't be posted, I think that is what the members area is for, check last years Narrandera with the Hooksters fashion sense at its best on display in the members section.

Chris. :geek:
