What no clinker boats !!!
What were they thinking and probaly not one done by the owners.
Typical of the yanks
Buy a down boat pay a truck loads of money to someone else to restore it and then prance around going "look at me. Ain't I grand"

Most of the yanks wouldnt know what a clinker is and even those that do call them lapstrake boats = they were so scared of the performance of a tupperware clinker Everingham that was taken over and raced by Peter Smith that they tried to ban him after he made them look slow. :D

I've been to tahoe twice. It really is another world. A bunch of really rich guys having a pissing contest.
Having said asl that they are just as passionate as we are.
Some of the other shows over there are a lot more casual.
Andrew petty just got back from the tahoe show on monday.

Dave you can't argue with the yanks taste and style in the 60's with their cars and boats, BUT....when it comes to a pissing contest (read that drinking contest) they really stuggle (can't use the terms I'd like to).....Maybe we should gather a posse and head over yonder to 'share some ideas'. last time I was there was in summer '86 and I adopted the identity of Sir Les Patterson on the odd occasion.
