Ray
Those berths do have to be booked.

Al
I was looking to come out around 3 pm. I have heard about the sh#t fight at the ramp when all the fisherman come back to pull their boats out and want to avoid it.

Forgot to mention that there is a $15 fee to launch your boat at the warmies. Actually, I think it's freee to launch your boat, but costs $15 to park your car and trailer in the car park.

Hi guys, was wondering whether we could use the boat ramp where we had the hotrod/boat show a few months back. Do we have any brownie points there? Do we have any contacts there? Ray

Just found this, its a parks victoria navigation map of the Yarra river. It shows bridge heights, public moorings with stay durations, speed limits etc. If i can manage it i will print off some copies so we can carry one with us in the boats. ray

They are quite large - bigger than A3. Don't worry too much as I have several of these that I will hand out on the day.

Alan

Considering a 10 knot speed limit to the Westgate and a 5 knot (9 kmh) speed limit from then on and a distance to Herring Island of approximately 12.5 kilometers, I figure it's about 80 to 90 minutes each way for a total of up to 3 hours travel time. I reckon that will get us back at around 3 pm with some messing around on the way. The total time really depends on if/where/for what we pull up for, etc.

Ray
I don't think the ramp at Seaworks was all that suitable, especially at low tide. Dale might want to comment. It is also the Police ramp.

Marz
Past Crown at around 1130, I'd reckon.

Peter
There was a lot of mud exposed around the Wesley boat sheds when I was there last week, reinforcing your comment.

So far, it looks like we have Stormy, Butter Box, Wooden Worry, Redskin, Bauchy's boat, Splinter and Hustler. Can we confirm this, thanks. Any others?

Another more manageable sized map of the river is at http://www.marinesafety.vic.gov.au/DOI/ ... le%203.pdf
