I'm pleased to announce "Cheryl-D" will be displayed at the rally this year.
The Gippsland Vehicle Collection (Maffra Shed) are now custodians of the boat. I hope this is permanent or until she can be found a home in Gippsland.
For those that don't know, "Cheryl-D" is an original East Gippsland Aquatic Club boat from back in the day. She holds great significant history to our boating scene, Gippsland, and of course Paynesville. I'm so wrapped this has occurred. It's a great step forward in securing its future back in it's home waters. "Cheryl-D" will be displayed with our group at the request of GVC.

I've cocked up and forgot I had a retirement dinner on Friday night in Maffra, so I'll be coming to Paynesville early Friday to secure our spot, and will have to duck off Friday arvo to be back Saturday morning. I'm hoping some responsible members can look after our spot and boats till my return. Ross wont be getting in till Saturday as he forgot he had a wedding to go to. Age induced amnesia sucks.
I've asked the rally committee to confirm the area in question.

No worries - we'll look after said boats for said people... if we remember what boats and who. What is the event again?

I'm happy to confirm that Reklaw is a starter for Paynesville, well, sort of. The engine now has some bandages applied after the Narrandera issues and has been reunited with the boat. However, I doubt that I'll be able to get her wet and do the necessary run-in and tuning before Paynesville (life gets in the way) so she will most likely just be a static display only.
Looking forward to catching up at Paynesville.

Bugger, it has just come to light that Barbara has a Specialist appointment on the Thursday so we won't be able to travel until the Friday. Probably won't get to Paynesville until mid afternoon on Friday. Can't expect you guys to save a spot for me, will just have to park it wherever they direct me to.
