Ladies and gents I will be posting any updates here in the public section for Eagle Point.
At this stage we are still a goer for our impromptu get together for the 13-14 Feb. In the meantime can everyone keep themselves updated with the latest covid restrictions. Bring your mask and keep your distance!

Hello everyone,
Just a short snippet to remind all of the waterway requirements for Eagle Point.
Eagle Point is classed as an enclosed waterway and you will need items such as flares, smoke signals, and anchor.

The requirements are set out in the latest handbook below.
https://transportsafety.vic.gov.au/__da ... k-2020.pdfPlease don't forget to bring a rope to get your boat in, as well as a hose to flush your engine which is allowed at the van park.
As stated it will be best to rope in at the boat ramp. Then motor around to the shoreline area, just north of the no boating area and within the 5 knot zone.

If there are any questions let me know. Cheers.

Today we have organised with the East Gippsland council to have the ramp cleaned up due to a large amount of sand that has washed up from the last heavy winds.
Also there has been a suggestion of a program so we all know what's going on for the weekend. Essentially its pretty casual and up to individuals with what they do. I'm thinking that at least as a minimum we set up on the foreshore as a group for both days if possible.
Friday - Early arrivals check in, set up at foreshore and check ramp (I'll be there Friday morning).
Sat - 09:00 at foreshore, get together commences.
Lunch break at your leisure.
16:00 finish for the arvo.
18:00 (6pm) BBQ dinner at the BIG undercover area.
Sun - 09:00 at foreshore again.
Visit Paynesville Maritime Museum at arranged time/groups? TBA.
Finish up/depart at your preferred time.

Just a note to all if anyone needs a hand (or towball) to get a boat to eagle point, let me know and I might be able to help.
Alan.

Wouldn't it be good is you could rent flares for the weekend. I still have mine from the last time I was in Paynesville.
They went T/X in 2012

That's a good point Greg. I need to check mine to see if they are in date.
