Eagle Point Paynesville

Postby WoodRay » 22 Jun 2020, 15:48

Hello to all members of CAWPBA, and of course any potentials out there lurking in the background. I'm just dipping my toe in the water on this one to see if any people would be interested in an unsanctioned get together at Eagle Point Paynesville. At this stage I would like to gauge numbers and get a feeling for which month/weekend that would suit the majority remembering we have our Narrandera event over the cup weekend.

Re: Eagle Point Paynesville - Update 1/7/20

Postby WoodRay » 02 Jul 2020, 17:11

Please have a look at the pictures attached of the proposed area for this get together. We have two options to either launch at the ramp and motor to the north foreshore near the caravan park and the flora and fauna park, or launch off the grass/sand area north of the Eagle Point Jetty (not the boat ramp jetty).
Some points to note:
Bring a rope as its shallow for launching depending on your boat
Engines can be flushed in the caravan park - bring a hose
Mozzies - some
Food/shopping/grog closest is 5 min at Paynesville, 10 to Bairnsdale. Limited stuff in caravan park kiosk
We can get some sites held till booking if need be but they assured me they are quiet outside of the normal holidays, which leads us to firming down a date.

Yes Craig, I'm definitely in for this. Some time in February should see us clear of school holidays and hopefully the poxy virus and its restrictions will have settled by then as well.

Craig,
Sorry, water looks far too rough for me.
Although I'll come just in case it's smoother in February.
I'm feeling one of those lakeview Cabin's would be sensational.

Ok folks, here are the available dates for the get together at Eagle Point Paynesville. Please select your preferred option (only one). Please keep in mind of the busy school holiday periods as we may not get into the caravan park then. Geelong Revival may clash for anything organised for late Nov to early Dec. Please view calendars above for help with dates. If you've voted on the Facebook page please don't vote here. Thanks.
