Looking for 6 to 8 boats to display at Historic Winton 28th and 29th of May. Sunday is the main day but if you wish to leave a boat overnight it is secure. There will be free admission for the person bringing the boat (at least). Contact Greg Carr for more info.

The CAWPBA has been invited to put on a static display of boats at this year’s Historic Winton, to be held at Winton Raceway at Benalla. This is a major and quite prestigious event and has been running for some decades now. While the event is held over two days, Sunday is the main day, meaning you really only have to be there on the Sunday. Dates are May 28th & 29th. Exhibit numbers will be limited to eight boats.

As I currently understand it, entry for the exhibitors will be free on each day, if you decide to have your boat there both days. I think any passengers you have with you will have to pay entry. The course will be secure Saturday night.

I am still waiting for final advice, but it seems they will want us in by 8:00 am on either the Saturday or Sunday and out after about 5:00 pm on the Sunday.

Refer the website: http://www.hsrca.com/events/38th-histor ... nalla-vic/

If you are interested in putting your boat on show, please let Greg or Alan know.

I spoke to someone (Noel) from Historic Winton this afternoon regarding accommodation around the area. It seams that virtually everything has been booked out within 50 km of Benalla. There is a large camping area at the track with showers and toilets provided, not ideal but under the circumstances better than nothing! Noel suggested trying Air B&B
