Electrical problem sorted out.

It would appear that battery isolation switches are not waterproof and corrode badly (less than a year old) internally when exposed to hydroplanes. I have now reverted to hard cabling (no isolation switches) to and from the battery for both power and earth to the starter and block respectively.
