We were waiting a couple of days before having a rave just in case any of us crashed and burned because of blue-green algae poisoning. The water certainly had a tinge to it.
Numbers were down a bit on last year, I dare say because of the water problem, but it was still a great weekend. Most boats only went in on Sunday, but the social side made up for any lack of boating. Hell, for any of these events, I’d go just for the Saturday night barbie.
The Sunday cruise up to the Mulwala Ski Club got the boats on the water. A bit rough heading there, even though the lake was mostly deserted, but we had a really good run coming back, hugging the Yarrawonga shoreline.
