Guys - I spoke to Glen Eddington who is Commodore at GDBC. They will allocate some water time for us, but like Goolwa we will be running outside of the APBA system and taking to the water as licensed pleasure craft. I'm going to prep Rebound for a "gentlemanly" demo run, and if it happens it will be a bonus. They would like us to be on site at about 10:30am (racing starts at 11:00 am) and the day will be done & dusted at 4:00 pm. I think that's about it.

Don't know if Pagan knows "gentlemanly". Hope we get some water time.

I'm very pleased to say that, at this point in time, Terry and I will be there with Bewitched. She hasn't been run for a couple of years now and needs a couple of things done, but we intend to be there.

Yeah Greg, I'm pretty thrilled about that.
45 years ago we raced there, now we're going back. Same boat, same owner/driver, same shotgun. Must be some kinda record.

Whoa.....how good is this, there goes the gentlemanly!
Mrs Price we'd better see if Scrubcat's still got a heartbeat
I'll put Turner in the jockey (or Luke) so were carrying the same ballast.
Fat Pigeon you need not apply!
Best news Ive heard all day. Hey Bob C you better put Mr Go Pro in the jockey again!

I'm really pleased to hear that Bewitched is going to be there to join us. Fantastic effort Bob W. Looks like I'm going to have to do an oil and filter change now!

Latest news is that there's almost possible show stopper, but maybe there's a way out.
In prepping the boat for Glenmaggie, Terry noticed some white gunk coming out of a crack in the inlet manifold. By way of explanation, the inlet manifold and carburettors are about all that's left of the original Shelby Cobra 289 crate motor that Terry bought back in 1968. Some time in the early '70's we cracked one corner of the manifold while tightening it down after a rebuild. It's done pretty well to have held together until now.
Anyway, the manifold is now off and will either be welded/ patched up or we'll buy a new Edelbrock Dual Quad, which on paper looks the same as the Shelby unit. Don't know about port sizes 'though.
One way to another, we want to get there.

Thanks for the pictures Craig, nice work
Great to see you guys did get some time out on the water
Did anyone happen to mention the Goolwa Aquafest to the owners
of Hornet, Rebel or any other boat that we haven't seen over here?
I'd love to have some contact details of those guys.
Cheers
Jeff
