OK. Who’s game?

Here’s an invitation for a get together and BBQ on June 1st.

Venue:
Derrinal Pool ramp, Lake Eppalock, just an hour and a half up the road from Melbourne. Definitely looking for you to bring a boat if you have a goer, even if you just park it on the bank. If you don’t have a goer, bring it along anyway and park it on the bank – no-one will know otherwise. I am confident it will be one of those cool, still and sunny winter days. You Victorians know the ones. If nothing else, the water will be warmer than the ambient air.

If it does turn out to be a crummy day weather-wise, we can always head back to my place in Heathcote (15 minutes away) and have a shed day (plenty of room) and BBQ. This is along the lines of a few get togethers we had some years ago when we had BBQ’s at Darren Goldberg’s factory. These were dry turns (water-wise, that is), but people would bring their boats along and just leave them on the trailer. Still a great opportunity to catch up for a chat.

Hope we can get plenty of interest , we will probably have the ramp to our selves for the ones that don't float for long periods at a time - a bit of test and tune ?

I like the idea as well, although I may even leave it on the trailer at home! less can go wrong that way, and I don't have any appendages that would appreciate that sort of water temp anymore.

I could manage to bring a coil and the distributor out of my tractor if you wanted to substitute them for your magneto .

Accommodation available if required. Also, your choice of fibreglass or genuine vintage timber skis, singles and doubles. I also have a sun umbrella and plenty of sunblock available. Wouldn't want to get you sunburnt or heat affected up here after coming out of the southern climes.
