I hope that the oil wasn't the result of a terminal event.

I am still sorting out teething issues with The Spook. On the weekend at Toukley I had an ignition failure.

I guess that if I get it all sorted then next year I'll get to Goolwa.

I can only support all the positive comments made about Goolwa - a great weekend on every level. Here is the link to the Go Pro footage shot by Ross (hand held) from the jockey seat in Rebound in the third demo run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UykRjNu ... e=youtu.be Enjoy. Bob

Yep an awsome event. I spent the last couple of days looking at a couple of antique shops, aircraft museums and even got up close to the city of adelaide clipper ship which just came out from scotland.
This ship is an absolut heartbteaker. I will never whinge about the enormity of any of my projects again.
The trip home was uneventful but boy its a long way.
The organisers dd a great job and thanks scott for helping me out with the tyres.
That bubble has disappeared in the tyre.

Howdy Spook
Wasn't terminal, just a damaged sump it seems.
We put some oil in it on the trailer, and it started and ran fine.
I'm not sure how long it ran without oil pressure though.
Still yet to examine the sump and bottom end.

We would love to have The Spook at Goolwa next year :D

Cheers
Jeff

Ahoy from sunny Tassie !

Glad the event was as good as last year and appears to be now a permanent fixture for the calendar !

Nice footage bob shame Ross a bit unsteady on the camera? If the water was like that all weekend I'm glad I didn't make it with the pigeons flying knee board!

Time flys see what happens next year? To be continued,

Chivs

Yeah it was pretty rough. The last run I ran the cowling brackets broke. Thats the first time in 18years.
I thought after that I would call it a day while my boat and myselft were still in one piece.
Moday morning it was like glass.

Great weekend as usual
Worked out why rude was dipping to the left......broken l/h front engine mount.
Every time I took my foot if the loud pedal the engine dropped and nearly flipped the boat.
New engine mounts being made next week.
Good to see you got home safely Dave.
When they put air in that tyre the bubble will come back.broken cords!
Thanks to all the people that made the day happen.
See you next year. :D

I have to agree as well, great weekend on all fronts even with the constant winging from sinking skiff drivers.
At long last and after much squeezing with the help of ButterBoy, and his Deep Thought computer the footage from Ray's camera on Dave's Atomic has made it onto You Tube.

Compared to the skiff, this is an armchair ride... albeit it a damned quick armchair! Good footage Dave.
