Ray
I think many refer to them as Anal carbies

Hi Ray
Pagan looks great out on the water 8-)
As for Amal carb tuning, You tube & Google will be your best start.
There is lots of info avaliable, you'll just have to sort through it all.

Cheers

Hi Ray,
The Amal carbies may be jetted for Racing fuel , back in the 70's i had a twin bowl Amal carb running Shell A fuel and not a problem. Most were made of brass [nickle plated] and didn't have issues with internal corrosion like later carbs.I think "The Jet" ran Amals. Check compression on all pots would be a good start.

Hi Ray
Pagan looks good in the water, glad to see that you finally did get it to go. As for your Amal carburetters, they are amal monoblocs, I think they might be bigger than the ones on The Jet. If you look on the top of where it bolts to the manifold, stamped in there is the model no. , probably something like 376 or 378. I have some printed information and the name of a chap in Melbourne who can supply gaskets etc. Give me a ring (H) 02 4324 2640 and I can get your phone no and email address to send you some information. They are a simple carburetter, I have trouble with The Jet carburetters but mainly because they have been modified.

Cheers

Great to see Pagan on the water and riding so well... just as a skiff should ride. Top effort Ray and well done.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys, Am i supposed to feel like ive had the daylights beaten out of me? Not one part of me not aching, have an assortment of burns and bruises. If this is owning a skiff then i LOVE it. They are a wild ride! When i can work out how to edit it i have a run filmed with the gopro from the bow looking back. Will pm phone no. and email address

I can not believe our luck the sun came out and the wind stopped for a day . I had a great time , Rascala spent most of the time taking the 7 kids that turned up for rides in the boat and towing a tube around . Ray worked hard to get a good run out of the skiff and by the end of the day his white club shirt was black but you could not get the smile of his face . Hope we can do it again soon .
Karen and Myself wish you all the best for Christmas and New Year .

Righty O has been sold so looking out for a new project.
Ken.
