nsw get together bonnels bay jan 12

Postby bootlegger » 11 Nov 2013, 19:37

Darren cowley rang today and said he is organising a get together again at his place on bonnells bay.
The event last year was perfect. Great venue and sheltered water.
There is room for about fifteen boats on the hard and as many as we like in the water.
There are two good local ramps.
A bbq will be on also.
I know this kind of clashes with neils post.
Either way its a great event.

Good stuff, was just about to give Darren a call! We should be good to go. Any way of getting rid of the salty carp out of Lake Macquarie?

Hi Guys, my names Pete, ive been floating around the board for about the last year since i got my boat Termite II, I am now a member of the club and would love to get together with some other club members. I saw the photos from last year and it looked great, so i would be interested in coming along with my boat this year. I live at Raymond Terrace but often end up on the lake due to logs in the river. So any details would be great. Thanks guys. :)

Welcome Pete, it will be good to see you there. Went and had a look at the Raymond Terrace site last year and was at Morpeth three weeks ago (couldn't help checking out the boat ramp)!

Ever been to Glenbawn Dam (blatant bait and switch ;) )!

Hi Pete,
Venue is the same as last year. It's a a great first event as you'll get to meet quite a few members. Look forward to meeting you and your boat. Darren is definitely the best person to talk to. If you need anything more let us know... Cheers!

James, I was going to give him a few weeks before putting the hard word on him for Glenbawn... :D

Thanks guy, im looking forward to it. I havent had the boat out this season yet ( leaky sump repair taking too long, motorvation rapidly building though).
Never been to Glenbawn, sounds alright though. :)

Pete, nice, good to hear you are coming up to Glenbawn with the family ;) ;) ;) ;) and then Bonnels Bay the week after! My family/wife kids all ski/tube/wakeboard etc.

Seriously though, if you are keen to come up to Glenbawn with or without the Termite, then we are there nearly every weekend through summer.
