Spent the day working on Renegade. God that Methanol is nasty stuff. Had to pull the whole fuel system apart and clean it all out. I think Ive found why it was overheating. Fuel barrel valve wasnt opening all the way. Ill give it a run tommorrow. here hoping :)

Just remembering back to Fokker F27 days and water methanol. Great stuff - we used to bathe in it, but we could never quite work out why some mechanics grew an extra thumb

Ahh yes the 'tow & hope' method of boating! Mostly it works. Rebound is right so is Turbo Fire. Can't wait to get on the water. See you all there.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and that all the boats are still intact come sunday afternoon. I wish that I was dragging Viteau down but with a round trip of 2400ks the trailer gets more of a work out than the chev. I won't make it next year either as I am getting married a week later and that may stretch things a bit far. All the best. Chris

No luck with Renegade. It got hot straight away. Its got me buggered what is going on. All I did was freshen the engine up. Nothing has changed.

Paul
Looking forward to seeing it in the water and if this engine lives up to its reputation. Is Lake Talbot long enough?

Marz
Fourteen confirmed at this stage, but I believe there will be more. What about the mighty Hustler?

Darren
Great news and great effort. We'll sort it out there and have it running like a dream.

Dave
Bugger. You haven't put in a gasket that's missing a hole have you?

Chris
Thanks for the wishes. As for missing out two years in a row, woah! You have all the rest of the year to get married

Stormy's a goer. First start since March and it fired on the 4th compression and then sat idling sweetly. That's good enough for me.

Greg
