Hi All,
If you are intending to enter the Aquafest could you please send your entry through so the organisers can get an true idea on numbers. At present there are quite a few that have indicated verbally that they are coming but their entries haven't come through yet.
Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,

I am coming, I arrive Melbourne Thursday 11 th April and depending what Scott Scotto how many is three sign speaking Botterill is doing ( for info has offered to take me for a sail in his couta boat, remember Scott?) I will be heading over Friday sometime and will at this stage hook up with Darren on the way?

I am bringing one of the Fat Pigeons boats, he is also bringing one if he can get on the ferry, unbelievably the bloody thing is almost booked out for the week prior! Is it okay for him to register his boats and someone else drive them, or do I need to register?

Unfortunately Torea will not be ready, I was getting to the point of rushing stuff and was not enjoying the experience, I have done this before and took short cuts, I learned a valuable lesson that time, so that's my excuse!

Cheers Dave from Chris

Hi Chris,
Sorry to you weren't able to get Torea finished in time but glad you are coming, and you are bringing another boat, cool.
I've spoken to Glen, and Fat Pigeon can enter both boats in his name and you can drive either or anybody else's. The only thing they ask is that anybody that is intending to be involved with the on water activities on the Sunday (closed water day), attends the briefing on Sunday morning. So this means drivers and passengers.
Last year Dig & Glen Traeger and Dave Pagano, all took The Sting for some laps.
Thanks Dave

Here is the first look at Griffin, an Everingham clinker which I intend to finish and bring along for the Goolwa gathering. It will be for sale. It is nearly there, deck finished, bottom repainted, inside revarnished, engine is a chrysler 318 which is getting a full rebuild now, and a new galvanized airbag suspension trailer. I still have a lot to do so back to it.
Peter.

Hi Peter, looking good, hope you can bring it Goolwa. What is the history of Griffin, where did you get it, how much have you had do to it?

I bought this boat last November, it was in Wagga Wagga and it was then called Bugger. As I was sanding the paint I found the original name Griffin painted over. It was a South Australian boat going by the HIN plate. It was a pretty much a complete boat with the deck deteriorated from age and a bit of rot in the keel. I never tried to start the engine just pulled it straight out for rebuilding.

Was it the one with no trailer and photos of it hanging from slings?
Looked pretty good in the photos.

Looking through a mag and found this driving tip for those bringing these style craft, not sure if you need the Dig style cig in the corner of the mouth as well, but the elbow elevation is a must
