In the future I would love to get into Whiteheads Lagoon just around from Bonnells Bay as there is a slalom ski course and ski jump (that would be interesting :) ). I'm keen to have a go at a slalom ski course and my eldest daughter is also showing interest. While riding around Raymond Terrace I'm sure there is a ski jump located in the old sand mining lake between the freeway and old main road at Raymond Terrace, anyone know anything about this?

I used to do slalom. I was pretty good at it.
I doubt i could get around two bouys now.

Sunday looks good.

I have never had a go at a slalom course but am keen to, it looks like the only way to have a go at one around this area is to purchase my own course or go over to Port Macquarie to a ski school! Glenbawn dam has a ski club with no on water coverage, which was lost due to public liability. The club used to have a slalom course and run barefoot drags prior to this!

Currently at Glenbawn Dam for the next 3 days, which has drug me away from the "Y-block" rebuild. Turns out the 272 I already had is a 292 with 272 heads but 1,2 and 5 have some water damage in the cylinders, hoping it will bore to 301ci!

I understand it is just a Victorian thing to come out of the closet and dress in drag at every opportunity  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeesus James this whole wig thing has mutated into a cross dressing bonanza now has it? Well, in lieu of the worlds biggest Mardi Gras, we have to create our own fun down here   Sounds like you guys up there are pretty keen to get onto a ski jump somewhere - can't wait for the photos or youtube clips. 8-), Jon.

Ski jumps; Glenbawn blew up this afternoon with a storm front coming thru, several boats were beached high and dry after it settled down! I held mine out in the waves for 20min and had a few waves come over the transom, just left the bilge pump running and all good, the large lewis wake boat beside me took about 300mm of water.

Glenbawn was generally rough all day but we went about 10k up the back to a sheltered bay and there was just us and another boat barefooting, stunning flat water but a bit windy, should of stayed up there away from the large rough main dam!

Maybee the worlds biggest "thing" could be sent even further south, and a damn far further than Tassie!

Had a look on google earth last night and that is the only one I could find in the area. Going to Newcastle in the next couple of days and was going to have a look on the way, probably don't need to as Pendlebury Park looks like the main ramp for the Bonnells Bay area!
