Looks like this is going to be a big event. Already 15 confirmed boats.
There are two ramps one a pendelbury pk bonnells bay one where the bbq will be held at balcolyn st balcolyn.
People will be there from 8am.
I know there are going to be some unseen boats there.
Hopefully we will have a great day.
Well done to the guys doing the rnging around drumming up interest.
Ive been flat out moving to a new workshop.
Its really wearing me down. Moving 30 years of accumulation never seems to end.
I scored two massive pantec bodies today so that gets some more stuff under cover.

Hi Guys, I can't remember whether I noted that I am coming or not so it is official and look foward to seeing a couple of familiar faces and looking forward to going for a spin. I took my boat on the Bellinger river last week and all went well apart from a sticky throttle cable but more use should free that up. I will be in Newcastle from Friday if anyone is around. Cheers Chris

Chris if you have one of those morse type cables you probably should get another one. Ive had several stick up from lack of use. No matter how much lube you pour down them they dont come good. I have gotten into the habit of disconecting them and laying them out straight when not in use. Seems to solve the problem.

Dave, mine is a teleflex and the main problem is the angle when it goes onto the inlet manifold. It has always been a little tight just above idle and a tap on the throttle brings it back. Cheers chris

Just got home from a fantastic event. 20 vintage speedboats in total.
15 woodies and 5 classic plastics.
Plus a small amount of modern stuff.
My favourite boat was james blown flathead v8 powered runabout.
It flew.

We made it home safe today after a great day out. Thanks to Dave and Darren for hosting the day and especially to Jim for the use of his BBQ area. Cheers Chris

Thanks to the organisers and the friendly neighbours for a great day!! It was great to see all the boats and meet other boat owners that try to keep the classic boats going. What a great spot, can't wait for the next one. Have added a few photos of the day.

Again thanks to Dave, Darren and Neighbours for their hospitality.

Drove home last Sunday night, storms and heavy rain from Maitland back to Muswellbrook which rinsed both the trailer and boat of salt. Was going to Glenbawn that evening but didn't get there due to the wind/lightning and storms so ran the boat on a hose for a half hour. Then drove back to Nelsons Bay that night for a weeks holiday.

Will post some more pictures soon.
