Maribyrnong cruise

Postby rayza1 » 14 Feb 2012, 17:17

Hi Guys, just read the news letter and noticed the dates for the Maribyrnong cruise. Carol and I will be away over the Easter break, not home until Easter Monday. Any chance we could do it before or after? The other problem will be increased usage of the Warmies boat ramp due to it being a public holiday and Whiting season. Really looking forward to doing this as the last one was a fabulous run. Cheers Ray

Ray

Sorry - typical shift worker - I don't worry about public holidays. The date was one that matched my roster and put out purely to put something in the sand. The date is open to whatever the majority wish, so throw down a date and let's get some conversation going.

Hi guys,
thought I'd drag this out in the open again, How about the 31st march (Sat) or 1st April (Sun). It's the week before Easter, and the first week of the school holidays.

I would be up for that if I don't need PFD1 life jackets?

Providing I have a suitable tow vehicle available, sound good to me.

Nick,
you might have to borrow an inflatable, just keep clear of the ripcord.

Will have a look at the calender, reccon we could be starters. By Friday will have our new shed, watch out then, it will be a black hole for timber boats !

Ok I understand that this cruise will probably start at the warmies but where is the destination for the cruise?

Would I be correct in guessing at about the Anglers Rest Hotel or is there a better place upstream?
Cheers

Hi Peter,
don't know if it is the "official end" but pretty sure I'll be stopping for a while.
