Re: Southen 80 is on
Well, sure is nice here on the knoll, just me and the full moon. Will try to get gps settings and post them tomorrow.

Try
A Price
1 Grassy Knoll
Riverside Torrumbarry Vic
I'm sure that's how I found it when I looked through the bottom of the empty pot from the Torrumbarry Hotel the last time I was there!

Re: Southen 80 is on
I checked my gps today and came up with
35deg, 57 min, 56.21 S longitude 144deg, 29min,29.24 E
not much different to Andy's but should get close, if you come up for a look, turn at the Torrumbary pub go down Headworks Road over the headworks past "All the rivers run" caravan park, and just past the house on 44gal drums turn right into "Gunbower island state park". If you travel at sub warp speed, (unlike Hookster) should be easy to spot. If you need help call me on 0403 838 193, but be patient I'm old, slow and deaf.
Alan.

Hmmm, left yourself wide open there Alan, the third one actually does look like you (probably first thing in the morning before you've boofonted your 'fro')
See you tomorrow morning old fella. You might want to ease off on the sun baking

Is it going to rain, and how is the road in at the moment before the expected rain ?

Re: Southen 80 is on
Ross there is rain forecast, but it's still dry as buggery up here at the moment. We should be ok I reckon, those tracks dry out pretty quick this time of year even after a big dump.
Re: Southen 80 is on
Ross, after last years rain they have filled the road in the bad places with stone, ranging from cricket ball to football size and with all the traffic it's starting to come up OK.

Re: Southen 80 is on
Well we all had a great weekend on the knoll. Those present at various times were Alan & family, Ric & Liz, Bauchy, Ross (Screwit) and the Levetts. Once again disaster put a halt to Andy's plans to join us, with Mitchell Kneivel coming a serious cropper on his pushy which resulted in an unplanned trip to Royal Children's Hospital....all is well now, and all the best from everyone Andy, Wendy and Mitch.
It was my first time at 'the 80', and it lived up to expectations...especially the first dozen or so boats which came through Sunday morning.
Of course I did have my camera handy over the weekend (this is the point where those who were present draw in a big breath and go ooooohhhhh f@#$k he's not going to post the ones of me surely....) Well....here's a taste then, and I might draw it out a bit longer before posting a few more:
