Re: Echo Too introduction
What an amazing looking boat.....welcome aboard by the way. Not sure how the others get pictures to size but i email the photo's to my own email address then save them, outlook resizes them automaticaly to a size that can be uploaded. Tech heads will have a proper way but this way works for me. cheers Ray
Re: Echo Too introduction
Ahoy James!
Looks like (unlike me) mechanical wise you look like you know what you are doing! Keep it going, I reckon you will be up to the magical 100 mph mark with the next photos
Thanks for sharing the story thus far, Chris

Again, welcome James.
She is certainly a nice bit of work and a credit to you.
Re the pics, you will need to resize them and then save that size back to Image Shack. Otherwise, save the resized pic to your PC and upload the pics to the Board. There is an explaination elsewhere of the board of how to do that. A good size for the BB is about 30 cm at 72 pixels/inch.

Re: Echo Too introduction
Thanks for the kind words!
Could not fit this in the above post, so will add a couple more pictures here.
Trim tabs were added after it's first couple of outings. Chop and wakes from other boats caused a lot of thumping and crashing. Initially excessive bow rise was an issue and has been solved with the fitting of the Lundberg 12x15 prop which has a lot of aft rake.
My Family owned a property in behind Glenbawn Dam that is called "Echo" hence the boat's name "Echo Too".
rayza1; Just sent posts to email and attached, I find this the easiest way as well! The originals were sent from a photo hosting web site, this is the only way to attach pictures on some forums.
Chivs; 100 is a nice round number ! Currently the sea strainers are blowing their lids off at 60mph, will build some descent ones when I return to work.
reddwarf; the blower rarely boosts, generally only if I am playing as it requires descent throttle opening to grab enough air to compress, the intercooling and bottom end cam have made it a bit of a torque monster at low revs, I ski at 32mph and 2200rpm, pulling 2 skiers up it still will not boost (not enough throttle opening), open the throttles enough and it will boost from idle! Blower is .9 under driven and running 3psi boost, more boost is only a pulley change away, there is no need for it though and I'm keen to look after the 1945 model flatty.
bauchy; I am a big fan of supercharging. I live in Muswellbrook NSW, half way between Newcastle and Tamworth. Glenbawn dam is 25min away and due to it's size there are many bays and quiet ski areas.
Cheers,
James
