Happy New Year to all.
Spent most of the first day of 2012 on the water at Goolwa.
Dig took The Sting for a spin and also another small Hydro, Navajo owned by Peter Sherma did a few runs early.

Hi Guys, spent new years watching the fireworks from my boat (plastic one) on the Yarra at southbank...absoloutly brilliant !!!
The only problem was the other thousand people in boats doing the same thing, the run back was like the Monash freeway at peak hour !! Don't know if it made the news but they managed to set the Arts centre spire on fire from the fireworks, had a front row view!! We launched at Altona ramp and motored for about 20 min. around to the river then up to southbank. Wouldn't reccomend doing this in one of our woodies (Chiv's boat excepted) because it was pretty lumpy coming back at 2 am. The warmies would be a better option but was very crowded. Hope everyone has a great 2012, look forward to our next catch up. Cheers Ray
