Had an interesting conversation earlier this evening with the guy who teaches boat building at Newport Tafe. They run a hobby course Tuesday evenings (3 hours) cost is something like $290 for 8 weeks. Thinking seriously of taking Taurus there and spending a year doing the timberwork under the watchful eye of a teacher, it's going to cost me nearly that much in storage fees (the sale of the missus's house fell over, so no new 14 m shed on half an acre at this stage) and i really want to do this one right. He's quite excited at the thought of having something different there as they mostly do putt putts. The only problem at this stage is that after a year Newport is closing down and moving to Sunshine and downsizing so there wont be as much room to do hobby stuff. Will keep you posted. Ray
