Life is Good

Postby Greg » 07 Nov 2011, 17:25

Tim (son) and I decided to put Stormy in for an hour or so this morning.

Half an hour later we were on the water at Derrinal Pool on Eppalock. Went for a cruise on glassy water to the VSBC site and returned. We were a bit upset when we hit a boat wake, until we realised it was actually ours! We continued to cruise around - who could stop?

We had the whole of lake Eppalock to ourselves this morning. Glassy water and not another boat in sight. What a great way to burn off a couple of gallons of 98 octane.

An hour later, boat washed down and back in the shed.

Life is good.

Nice one Greg, I'm soaking Bullitt at the moment, and will put her in tomorrow arvo. The lake here is also like glass at the moment, can't wait. Might take Phil with me....

Thanks all.

Darren, by the sounds of the storms down your way, you might have to cross some wakes on the way to work this morning.

Jon, hope you beat the storms forecast today. We're copping it down south this morning and I thing Yarra is for its share today.

Dave, I have always been envious

Greg, I have had some mirror flat mid week few hours last year on the water, it is great to be abell to walk out side and think Ill drop the boat in since conditions are good and be there on water in 10 mins. Last weekend they were testing race boats again at 8 30 in the morning its a nice sound while haveing a coffee on the verander
Mid week can be lonely place on the on the lake

Ha Haaa Rick....well, you can pull the pins out of the Jon voodoo doll now, I'm currently working in the Albury area, just spoke to Narelle in Yarra and she said it's blowing its arse off. This arvo might not eventuate after all. And anyway Rick, anyone who gets to spend as much time in Darwin as you do is the luckiest bastard in my book...great place!
