THrifty Too Relaunch

Postby reddwarf » 22 Sep 2011, 09:15

Hello dave .well the top end was a bit slow for me .,throttle cable sliped and i only had 3/4 throttle but the crackerbox made it where some fancy one didn't .the other news is the hydro Thrifty too is only a week or too from completion ,i started the rebuilt engine yesterday and there is only a little paint and 2 minor water leaks to fix. does anyone have a cure for race nerves if the hydro is as fast as she sounds it will be a scarey intro to the hydro world .hope to float her in 2 to 3 weeks. :?

Cool to see another hydro hit the water again. Where are you planning on running?

Why dont you come down to near me to run it for the first time and ill talk you through it. If you aren't careful the thing will chew you up and spit you out.

Red Dwarf

Let me know when you want to run it and I can give you a hand. There are a couple of places where you can run it locally and some locals who can also talk you through it.

Daves right, it will be different to anything that you have driven before and its all to easy to get carried away.

Hi Peter,
I guess you are really looking forward to launching the hydro! I hope all goes well with it. I am sure it will be a
blast. I'm sure Dave will give you some good advice on hydros. I have a hydro that I am putting together at present,
but it is a bit on the small side (model)!

Cheers

Chris.
