Ok now that I'm financial I thought I might post a few pics of my recently aquired boat (still not sure what it is..hopefully it's trip to Nerrandera this October might iron out some of the doubt about it's heritage), and also a few pics of my 'tow vehicle' which has nearly finished its resto.
Recently rescued from a ten year rest in an open barn:
A few scratchy photos after paint and partial assembly:
And the boat on the way home from Nowra (pub stop just north of Albury for a 'traveller' after a long haul down the Hume...does anyone else own a BA Falcon? Jeez does it drink the juice when towing!!)
So, I'm frantically finishing off the Chev so I don't have two restorations going on at once...I walk around in circles in the shed enough as it is. The interior is all back in it now with new carpets, handles and winders (go ebay), carpet, seats refurbished etc. now just have to get the new ragtop fitted and that's pretty much it. For your information, the car is a 67 Chev SS Impala convertible, all original, with 327/275 hp motor Hang on I might have to start a new entry, the typing's going funny....

Yeah, well, the photos didn't exactly come out in the right sequence, but everyone will get the idea hopefully. I'll post some more current photos of the chev soon, I'll be dragging it out of the shed for a wash this arvo...

My everyday driver at the moment is a factory 396 SS 67 Impala coupe. Ive had it for almost 25 years. Its got 53000 miles on it and has been here from new. It really needs a resto but runs well. I towed ALFRA to the Toronto wooden boat show at Easter with it. I was also thinking of towing a boat to Nerranderra with it this year.
Re: All things powered by 327
Well you just can't beat taste in cars!!! You'll have to bring it to Nerrandera now. I had a 67 (Aussie assembled) pillarless before this one. Nice car too...factory black with red interior. Wanted to keep it but the paint job on the convertible forced the sale of the old girl unfortunately. Post some pics of your coupe!!
Re: All things powered by 327
Yep, cant beat taste, looks like the one from supernatural!! I had a 64 four door pillarless with a 350 hp 327 from a vette, even though i'm a ford man would love to have that baby back!! As far as the BA is concerned i've got one too and it does like a drink, funny enough though when i'm not towing it's brilliant. Mine has vapour injected gas and even though the performance is ok the fuel range is about 300ks tops and practically useless. cheers Ray

Dave,
Hope all is well and that you continue to show us of your exploits with boats for a while.
How's that towns racer coming along?
Regards
