Here a couple of pics of one of Paul Siddall's latest projects, his 17' Everingham.

After having the boat ready to fit out for about 12 months, Paul has started to get into it a bit and is hoping to have it finnished for the Nats in October.

Well done Paul. I called in to Bert Everinghams today on the way home from the races. I know its not a speedboat but he is well into building a new 20ft clinker launch. Its an absolute work of art. He is well into his 70's now. I cant imagine he will be building may more boats.
I met his cousin Brian Storm also. He is planning on building a new skiff based on his successful little racers he made years ago.

Has Bert built launch style boats previously? Theres a launch I,ve seen nearby that certainly has an Everingham look about the transom.
Saw Paul's yesterday, definitely looking good.
Short update on the slow progress of my own Everingham, Jayme II.
Stripped & revarnished the inside of the hull, sanded, stained & varnished deck, motor rebuilt, few bits to tidy up before putting it all back together.
Should have a few Everinghams from SA ready for October.
Dave

There were a lot of Everinghams sent to SA.
Ive seen Bert working on Launches before (not building one from scratch.
His Father (Old Bert) was building boats to work the Hawkesbury way back when.
I called in to Graham Howards yesterday. He is building a new Hydro, 30ft Trawler for his son and a 21ft6in Hacker racer for himself. The Hacker is ready for the deck. It is just awsome.
