My New Project Boat

Picked up the boat that has replaced Torea in the collection & am very, very happy with the choice.

I purchased from Gary Hastie the Glen L crackerbox or gentleman's racer that he has been building. He's done a magnificant job and I'm honoured to be able to take over the project and see it through to completion. Below are some pics of the boat as it is today. The plan is to still do the 1941 Chris Craft, Nirvana, next but when it comes to the Glen L it will have a small block Chev under the mahogany deck. I'll also do the 'mother in law' seat for'ard of the engine. Should be a real head turner down on the Gippsland Lakes when it's up and running.

Well Bob, seems you just like sitting at the back. Should make a great lake cruiser.
Alan.

Interesting conundrum = a mother in law seat for a back seat driver

Hey there Bob, Well done on your new purchase! I saw it on E-bay myself and made me start dreaming again. I have a few photo's of James Fenchville's ROSITA stuck to the wall next to my desk, and i recon i look and admire the design all the time. I just love all the old Gentlemans racer style boats and that whole era for that matter. Enjoy and i'll enjoy watching it progress.
Regards Scott.

Thanks Scottie... and more than happy to take you for a run when it's finished. Just don't hold your breath waiting for me to get into it.
