Many of the photos are of my wife when she was a young carefree girl.
If I was to post those here I would be looking for a new place to stow my "toys", so they will remain closed.
There are some of my wifes uncle and his various exploits.
John was a very accomplished waterskier in the mid 1960 thru to that early 1970's.
He skied at the Moomba Masters and was a key part of one of the acts at Carribean Gardens her in Scoresby. He was friends with many of the Australian Barefoot Water Ski Team members of the era and skied barefoot himself.
So onto the photos and their history. John and his wife, Barbara, have had houseboats on Eildon Weir almost since it was open to recreational boating. Their first houseboat was a Franklin. Yes, the same people that built caravans. Come to think of it many of the first houseboats really looked like caravans on floats.
So a lot of these photos are taken at Eildon.
- "Aquasonic". This was a boat owned by their friends. Looks a lot like an early Lewis to me. The photo was taken at Eildon . John is on the far side.

- This could be at Carribean Gardens with a boat obviously "CHEVVY". The reason I believe it could be Carribean Gardens is because of the low hills and lack of trees in the water and on the hills in background.

- John owned an MGA twin cam and this photo despite being back to front is of the car and I believe his inlaws Everingham. The car was sold and became a racing car before being destroyed in a crash at Sandown. The boat was fitted with a dodge 6 cylinder.

- "Rattler", now this I would believe is definitely a Lewis boat. Looks almost the same as Bobs "Torea"

- Plenty of wood here. I have been told this is the preparations for ski race at Eildon.
