Only walked 1/3 of swap meet at Ballarat, Found a new bronze rudder $15 and a foot throttle $ 20. I did see a flatt head convertion and a Y block E/ manifolds and 3 carb intake on another site. A complete holden marinised 6 when past on a truck but did not come across it.

Wish I had found the Holden. I was hoping to find a heat exchanger. Saw a full marinising kit for a 318 Hemi for $40 and manifolds for a 351 but nothing for a 186.

Was a dog clutch, jabsco, and some other stuff for holden red for around $200, also saw a marinising kit for a flathead ford going cheap as well, plenty of manifolds for y blocks as well. Ray

Thought I saw you at one stage Ray, by the time I finished at a site you were gone :D

I didnt buy any boat bits but filled the trailer with stuff for the cars, Dad found the bits he was after for his 41 Ford Woody project so it was a real good day for us, had a laugh at the guy behind us gettting his wheels clamped for unpaid fines

Hey Brian, what day was that. I couldn't get there till Saturday, had the missus and son and his girlfriend in tow so spent half my time trying to find them. Is the lewis any good? Started work on Taurus today, will be a long haul but i'm looking forward to it, removed the 179 and fuel tanks etc today. Apart from the top planks either side it shouldn't be too hard a job. I'm thinking of doing the boat building course at Newport Tafe as there's stuff to do that i have no idea about, just depends on whether i can fit it in time wise. Will post some pics when i get some worth posting. Dale, will you be at the wet together? would like to get the drive for the dog clutch if you are. cheers all. Ray ps was that a club member i saw towing an unrestored woodie down the western hwy the other day heading towards SA ?

Thanks for that ! now i know what a fish feels like...hook line and sinker !! Should have known, no one puts chevs in boats anyway. Thanks for your offer, will have a yak with you about it cause i'd love to do the work just don't know how. Will try and put up some pics so you can see the extent of the problem. Cheers mate Ray

Hey Ray, did that boat heading to SA look like a 16 1/2 ft Lewis Skiffabout with wings?? :D
Maybe it was the one Brian saw heading to Ballarat???
