Ahoy all!

I am happy to report Tomboy has passed scrutiny and has been accepted for the next wooden boat festival afloat as in the past which I am reliably informed is 19 weeks away! The latest news is on the web site. Fingers crossed for good weather!

To be continued,

Excellent news Chivs.

I'm looking forward to coming down again and scunging another ride (or two) on the Derwent in the magnificent Tomboy.

Sounds good Greg and Bob!

Just need the same weather as the last one, like every where else we are experiencing some crazy weather and hoping the weather gods get over it by February?

The same hospitality to all financial members who make the trip with plenty of on water stuff.

Ahoy all!

With about a month to go to the Wooden Boat Festival I took Tomboy out for a much needed run on a beautiful summers day here yesterday.
As it has been a while since I have posted a photo, this is the demo run!

If it works I will forward some more of the day for your visual enjoyment?

To be continued (hopefully)

Okay it looks like it worked, A good mate Brent who has helped me above and beyond mechanically speaking joined us for the day with his immaculate Invader, a tribute to Brent's late father Graham who used to race a wooden power boat in Tasmania called Invader. I have previously posted photos of Grahams boat as part of my Tasmania experience. In fact the two bladed prop I am currently running on Torea is from Graham.

Looks superb in God's own country, Chivs. Happy new year.

Certainly looking forward to coming down and cruising the mighty Derwent again. Might even try and get the boss on the boat this time.
