Starting to look good, hull now painted white and bottom black. Next worry is cutting the holes into my beautiful transom for the exhausts.

Blue gum engine beds which have been squared up, shaped, cut and fitted ready to be secured to the hull. Photo also shows that I spent a bit of extra time cleaning up the hull planks where the engine will eventually be fitted, sealed them with a clear finish.

Next worry, which required lots of discussion about method and execution to get a hole through the keel for the prop shaft. As a result we drilled a pilot hole first just in case it tracked off and ended up comming out the side instead of the back.

To start with we worked the borer in by hand to ensure it followed the pilot hole, later to quote Bruce "It was a honeymoon job; straight in and beautiful!" :P
