Postby screwit » 19 Sep 2010, 20:30

Dont understand what is going through the water boards heads, Laanecoore res. was 100% full a week a go, now it is 60% . dosnt make sence to send more water down a river that was all ready swollen down streem. Hope they dont do the same at Eppalock !!!!

Ross,
maybe they were making room for even more rain? Lucky you weren't on it when it went down.

hey ross, i read on the cover of the maryborough advertiser today about lanne going down to 70%

the release of water was not planned, there had been a malfunction with two of the gates which resulted in the gates not closing after all the flood water had gone through. goulburn murray water are expecting to have it fixed by the end of the week. once the gates are closed again they will not be releasing anymore water and are expecting it to be back at 100% within 3 weeks. They are saying the water from tullaroop reservoir ( maryboroughs water supply) will fill lanne again as tullaroop is still over flowing.
hopefully this happens and we will be out there again shortly.
