Hello all,
My name is Andrew and just joined up. Very recently bought my first wooden boat. 61/62 Goldsbrough. (some of you might have seen it advertised) Anyways, apart from having a Holden V8 (original Y-Block removed) a rotted transom and a few holes, it still floats and goes. 't
It did have a semi restoration done a few years ago (new deck, paint) and the Holden engine fitted, but does need to be striped back and completely redone. Winter job. It wasn't looked after very well but has now come to the right home. Searching for information on the Goldsbrough boats is a little tough so if anyone has and info on them, please throw in my direction. I was told that this one, in 61 was built as a race boat and built left hand drive. Sort of fits with the rudder and cav plate being off centre. But again not too sure about it.
Looking forward to seeing you at events.
