Vale: Leigh Falcke - "Doc Sizzle"

Postby Darren » 23 Nov 2021, 10:20

It is my sad duty to inform members of the passing of Leigh Falcke.
Leigh was a great friend to many of us here and his knowledge and passion for all things floating and more will be missed.
As most of you are aware Leigh was an avid "collector" and his home was an amazing place to visit.
More recently he had kept a pretty low profile caring for his sick mother and having health issues of his own.
When I think back on the time we spent together, I have to smile, his dry humor and "smarts" made for some wonderful times.
He was a regular at my factory as with of other members every Friday for many years, turning up with wooden boats and gear he had collected from here and there.
A life really well lived - RIP "Doc"

So sad to hear of Leigh's passing.
We've lost one of life's real characters and a proper gentleman.
I will always remember the CAWPBA Wet Together at Mt Gambier, where the title Dr Sizzle was born.
Deepest sympathy to Linda and family.
RIP Leigh

Another great character gone too early, was the first person in the club that I spoke to (at the boat show) and yet I still joined :D
Will be sadly missed,
RIP Dr Sizzle.

Well said fellow boaties.
He was a great friend to me and was always keeping a watch on the bulletin board and commenting with plenty of history and machanical advice.
He will be missed by all who had known him.

Oh dear such sad news. Leigh had an amazing knowledge of boats & people not to mention engines which he readily shared. A quiet man with a dry sense of humour. He will be sadly missed.

A memorial service will be held for "Doc Sizzle" Leigh Falcke on Thursday December 9 at 3:00pm in the Cumulus Chapel, Bunurong Memorial Park at Bangholme 3175.
Finger food and refreshments will be served afterwards.
I will be saying a few words on behalf of myself and the Club Members
