That's a nice colour Bob, thought you might have gone for a shade of grey but I like this better.

That's meant to be historically correct for my vintage CC. There is a CC blue available in the US but old Ford is the acceptable substitute.

Watch that oily greasy stuff on that carpet Bob, that's where i went wrong. I should have had some to save getting my concrete slab dirty

Bob

Relaying a suggestion for bearings from Darren Schneider:

"Try Henrys T & A parts, I think its either outer Melbourne or Bacchus Marsh area. He deals with a lot of early T, A, 32 Ford stuff".

Thanks for the contacts guys. The engine parts dude in the US has finally come up with the goods (or am I impatient?) so I'm just waiting for his shipment to land at the freight forwarding company in Texas. I've got shipments from 6 different suppliers to be consolidated. Got the seals for the transmission in hand in Bairnsdale and just ordered in Oz 30 weight non detergent oil. Low performance oil for an equally low performance engine.

I'm going to make a prediction, you will be pleasantly surprised with the performance of your Chris Craft. It will go 22% faster than you think.

Engine parts are still in the US so I decided to crack on with the deck. Got the front cover boards cut to shape and the deck king plank fitted. Next I'll move on to the aft cover boards and the king plank pieces moving after. Then next weekend we'll be working on the trailer.
