I am wondering who it is, never saw Keith when he was younger, but the shed looks familiar from photos Ive got.
The only thing is it looks too wide from that angle. Not to many guys were using that sealer between the planks.

Hi All, I'm 95% sure that it's my uncle Robert Botterill. I don't remember him at that young age as i was born in 1960 . He was the younger brother of my dad John Botterill, both boys the sons of Jack Botterill as in the J. Botterill & sons Boat Builders in Advantage road Highett Victoria.
Robert was the smart dresser of the boys and always wore white boiler suit overalls, every one else wore navy blue or Khaki bib and brace overalls.
Also i recognise the factory with the wooden rear sliding door and the timber inlays on the floor. They were installed them when it was built new after re locating from the south Melbourne factory when they were trading as Botterill & Fraser. The timber floor runners were to mount building jigs onto.The paint shop was just there as I also remember in the rear left end corner and always had a ripper girly calendar in it, along with a few others scattered around the shop that i used to gork at all the time.
I wish i could recognise the boat building details to confirm it but i was too young at the time during the 60's when they built the various runabouts, ski boats and the odd race boats, before turning to building more sea skiff style cabin boats and lots of wooden sailing boats of various designs.
I spent most days after school at that factory waiting for dad to knock off work and we would walk home only a few streets away from the factory. If only i paid more attention to the skills going on around me instead of farting around building cubby huts in the wood pile outside in the yard and playing skipper in the various boats out there. The last time I saw you was revving off from the Pigeons place a few festivals ago. I did hear you may have been hermiting down the Franklin way perhaps loitering at the Wooden Boat Center? I am hoping to get to Narrandera this year, assuming Victoria can sort out their latest outbreak, be great to see you there with Redskin!? regardless I hope you are well and happy, cheers mate

Yes Chivs, after revving off from the Pigeons that night i went on to have a crack at the single cylinder Mt Wellington to Salamanca speed record...
Narrandera, sounds good this year so I'll make it a goal. Redskin is fast asleep so I'll leave her alone and bring something else.
Darren funny about that my grandmother always used to say that i looked alot more like Robert than John !!!!
