When ‘’ TWO UP ‘’ was the normal Race Crew and the majority of Boats were Wood, but this was changing with the appearance of the first USA imported SK style Hulls:

Along with Graham Stephenson, TAIPAN Stevens SK with Ben Prajbiz as passenger powered by a 392 Hemi getting ready for the feature race of the Day.
Russ Neville driving COBRA , a Lewis skiff with 289 Ford power was the major winner on the Day.
