Its been a long wait for these. Hoping I might squeeze another 0.235 mph out her now.

They look magnificant - what a pity they are hidden inside the cast iron cylinder block.

A little progress this week with grout filling the block.

Okay... I'll ask the dumb question. What is the grout process and why? I've never heard of this.

It's used to add stiffness to the block by filling in the void at the lower portion of the block within the water jacket. Simply mix the the compound and hardener and pour it in to your required level.

A bit of modification work to the new flywheel to get it to fit the crankshaft as well as fitment of the damper plate. Flywheel housing mounting for the gearbox is next in progress.

Final mock up of the gearbox today. Just some minor machining to finish off with the set up and it will be assembly time soon I hope.
