Good evening Ken, I spoke to them recently regarding the replacement timbers for Classique, they were very helpful. It seems their phone number has changed from the one listed here. The number I dialed on the rotary dialer was 97736144, instead of an email you can fax them on97735656,hope you can get through to them

Peter great to hear from you again ,if you are thinking of towing the boat to Burrambeat just be aware it blows up rough so check the weather as i have driven down there and not bothered launching the boat ,it is a great spot if the weather is good .
I need timber strips for around the deck 19mmx39mm hopefully something that bend to shape .

Mathews Timber who were in Rooks Rd, Nunawading near me used to have a good range.

Ken, I'd be pretty sure it would be QLD silver ash. I got mine from Furniture Timbers in Port Melbourne. (Many years ago that still had lengths to 6 metres)
Cheers

Actually should mention a common workaround these days was to use Jelutong. Be alittle careful with this as it is slightly yellower and much much softer - great when youre steaming and bending not so go when youre using the boat

Sadly Furniture timbers closed down about 2 years ago. I went there looking for some +obscure timber forgotten what now but the yard was empty.
